Rare Vintage Webb's City, St. Petersburg, Florida Historic Department Store 10k Yellow Gold 5 Year Employee Service Award Lapel Pin.  With only a fractional amount of green enameling,
the overall weight is 3 grams, in 10 karat gold (41.7% purity).
Webb's City, Incorporated was one of the nation's first "one-stop-shop" department stores, established as a small drugstore in 1926, and closed by 1979.  It experienced explosive expansion, eventually covering ten city blocks, and has an interesting history within the history of civil rights and integration.  We have not located any other examples of these pins
at recent auctions, besides our own (we also have this available in white gold, with a diamond).
