A racket store was basically a general merchandise store with the name New York added supposedly to make this a classy place of business.  The owner supposedly went to Chicago or New York and bought merchandise with cash and the discount was supposedly passed along to the customer.    Dates to the early 1900s.  Shipping weight just over 1 pound.
