    Description

    A scarce early 1900’s Angels Camp, California, “The Red Front Store” advertising ceramic plate.  Angels Camp, is a Gold Rush town in the California Mother Lode and is famous for the Mark Twain Frog jumping contest.  The plate is 8 5/8 inches across in size and has the image of a young women in vintage attire.  The plate states
    “THE RED FRONT STORE,
    L. LYMAN & CO.,
    ANGELS CAMP, CALIFORNIA”
    The back has the makers mark a Crown and states
    “STURENG, CHINA”
    As a very old ceramic plate the plate
    does have some age crackling.
    However, the plate has no edge chips or cracks.
