Up for your consideration is a very nice used Chicago Police "Fred Rice Superintendent" Coffee Mug. The mug is Dark Blue with Gold Trim and Lettering. It is approximately 4" in height and 3 1/4" in diameter.
Has the wording "Chicago Police" and "Superintendent Fred Rice".
Fred Rice, Jr. was an American police officer for the Chicago Police Department who also served as superintendent of the department from August 1983 until November 1987. Rice is noted as the first permanent African-American to head the Chicago Police Department.
