    Here is a stunning victorian souvenir china 2 inch or so tall cup with a great color combination, a teal green unusual design.  This is from 1910 and is in great condition.  No chips or cracks.  These pieces were sold quickly out of drug store or general stores and were souvenirs of teh city people were visiting.  Instead of a postcard, they bought some china from the town.   Near Sparta, carbondale, Pinckneyville, Coutlerville, Steeleville Murphysboro, Duquion, Herrin, Marion, Vergennes, baldwin, Prairie Du Rocher, Ft kaskaskia, Evansville, Belleville, highland, ALton, Granite city, Venice, Madison, Edwardsville, Mascoutah, Freeburg, Marissa, Millstadt, Dupo, Valmeyer, Columbia, Waterloo, Red Bud, New Athens, Nashville, Okawville Greenville, Elsah, Wood River, bethalto, etc etc just across the river from Saint Louis MO Missouri.
