1952 Fiji KGVI Air Mail Cover - Sc #129 (SG #264) - Suva to Palomar Mountain, CA

Description

An interesting air mail cover sent from Suva, Fiji and addressed to the Director of Mount Palomar Observatory. Franked with Fiji Scott #129 (Stanley Gibbons #264), the 2 shilling King George VI Suva Harbor stamp from 1938 which is tied to the cover by a Suva, Fiji postmark that appears to be dated in January 1952. On the reverse is a Palomar Mountain, Calif. four-bar cancel dated January 11, 1952. This cover measures 150mm x 90mm. See scans for condition.
