This listing is for an antique advertising plate. This is a 1909 calendar plate made for the Big Horn County Bank in Basin Wyoming. This plate was used as a premium/ giveaway item for members of the bank. The back of the plate has marks reading "Semi Vitreous, Edwin M. Knowles China Co. 88" and "Empire China 4186".
Plate is in good/used condition. The front of the plate has an illustration of a  woman holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a lacy light blue dress and a frilly hat adorned with flowers. Around the scalloped edge of the plate are illustrations of every month of the year with marked dates, each month is surrounded by florals appropriate for the season of that month. If you hold the plate if the right light you can read the words "Compliments of Big Horn County Bank, Basin Wyoming" below the woman. These were once written in gold lettering, but they gold has worn off over the years. The plate has overall scratching and wear due to its age.There is a small brown chip at the top of the plate. There is some yellow staining on front and back. Despite these small damages, the plate is in remarkable condition for being 112 years old.
Plate is approx. 9x 1 inch around.
